‘Firehawk raptors’ are currently known as three different species of Australian birds of prey: black kites, whistling kites, and brown falcons. Though some still remain skeptical of whether they spread fires intentionally or accidentally, many documented observers of the behaviour concur that the birds spread the fire in a deliberate manner.
