For everyone wondering…My hand is a myoelectric prosthetic, which is geared towards giving the same feeling as operating a real hand. It runs off of two topical sensors that read the muscle flexes at the end of my arm. If I flex my muscle up slowly it opens, down slowly it closes. If I flex up or down quickly it rotates left and right. As you can see, every once in a while I run into some issues, but it’s the closest thing in sensation to a real hand. | SSG Travis Mills

I like the myoelectrics because they do help increase dexterity and have very good range of motion capabilities. The main drawback is that they tend to be a little bit more expensive than traditional body-powered protheses. However, many insurance companies do cover them so that may not be an issue fo
