Since the cam was installed in 2012, the hawks have nested at two different light towers above Cornell University's athletic fields. In 2012, 2015, 2018, and 2019 they used this tower near Fernow Hall, and in 2013, 2014, and 2016, they used a tower nearest Weill Hall. Welcome "N1"—the first hatchling of the 2024 Cornell Hawks Cam season! After it's egg began pipping on April 24, the eldest hatchling was revealed in full during its first feeding by Big Red on April 25 after 39 days of incubation. One of the recently fledged young Red-tailed Hawks at the #CornellHawks nest returned to the nest site as a strong thunderstorm approached campus.
