This Raccoon (Procyon lotor) was found literally out on a limb collecting fruit from this Sabal Palm (Sabal palmetto). These trees produce small black berry-like fruits that contain one seed. Fruits from the Sabal Palm can provide a significant portion of the Raccoon’s diet.
