Through the collaboration and support of the Fire Foundation, we were able to purchase 237 FLIR K65 Thermal Imaging Cameras. These cameras will enhance firefighter safety, improve search and rescue operations, and increase our effectiveness on the fireground. Repost from @818_tv • Yesterday afternoon, LAFD firefighters rushed to a home under construction on the 7700 block of Teesdale Avenue that was already heavily involved with fire when they arrived. Crews worked quickly to protect nearby homes and called in extra resources — 65 firefighters knocked down the flames in 28 minutes.
