The Hastings Police Department is hiring for a Community Service Officer (CSO) to handle service calls that do not require the presence of a sworn patrol officer. The CSO assists with a variety of administrative tasks to enhance the productivity and efficiency of the department. As a non-sworn member of the Police Department, the CSO will handle the following duties and more: • Booking and transport • Parking enforcement • Evidence and property transport • Traffic studies and radar speed duties

This morning was a proud moment at APD. Community Service Officer Erin Bagley (who you may recognize as one of last years Employees of the Year), was sworn in as a Police Officer. Officer Bagley has dedicated his life to public service, first as an officer in the United States Army, then as a Community Service Officer, and now as a Police Officer.
