During a September 30, 1969 session at the Record Plant, Jimi Hendrix was joined by Buddy Miles, Duane Hitchings and Stephen Stills. Stephen arrived inspired by the beautiful new song "Woodstock," he had just heard at Joni Mitchell's place. With Stephen leading the charge on organ/vocals and Buddy on drums, Jimi came through on bass guitar (played upside down no less) for several particularly superb renditions of this new Joni Mitchell composition.
