Seeing 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 as structured numbers is so important for kids building number sense. We’ve got a great lesson on the number board that focuses on labelling the 20s, 30s, 40s and beyond, with lots of chorusing to help students really hear, see and build that structure. That repeated practice matters because it gives them a stronger foundation to keep growing from. And right at the end, you can see me helping Aubs with 100 because that one is always a little tricky.
