President Donald Trump has repeatedly touted what he calls the return of manufacturing to the United States, hailing companies that have vowed to pour large amounts of money into making everything from computer chips to cars in America.

Coffee prices are expected to rise as a 10% tariff universal tariff on products imported to the U.S. went into effect on April 5. The added tariff hits at a time when prices of raw whole beans from major coffee-producing countries like Brazil and Vietnam are up due to climate conditions.
