Swiggy, a leading food delivery and quick-commerce app in India, said on Monday that it has expanded its 10-minute food delivery service, Bolt, to more Swiggy has expanded its 10-minute food delivery service to more than 400 cities and towns across India.

Swiggy claims that to ensure safety of the delivery partners, they are not informed of the distinction between Bolt and regular orders, and there is no incentive for fast delivery. However, the speed of delivery is optimized by prioritizing delivery executives closest to the Bolt outlets.

The massive expansion of the rapid food delivery service by Swiggy comes at a time when startups are increasing their presence in this area. Zepto last month said it was scaling up its Cafe business,
