Essex County prosecutors say Joseph Ocasio entered a store in 2022 and started shooting at people, resulting in the death of a 23-year-old man and leaving another man paralyzed.

The neighboring attached home also sustained some damage, with "Occupancy Prohibited" signs posted on both homes.
