“No. 1 overall in ’21, Trevor Lawrence, and his coach Urban Meyer is fired at midseason,” Pluto pointed out. “And of course in ’18, the Browns drafted Baker Mayfield, and Hue Jackson was fired.”

The Browns currently hold three top-40 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. The dream would have been for the New Orleans Saints to pull out a win over the Miami Dolphins this past weekend, but that did not happen. The Browns will need the Jaguars to start losing so they can get a higher pick from the Travis Hunter trade.
