Two teenage boys were arrested Friday in the killing of a 60-year-old man in Omaha earlier this month, police said.

Jim Pillen appointed him as state fire marshal in 2023. Cordes' last day is March 7. Assistant state fire marshal Doug Hohbein will serve until a permanent pick is announced.

Officers responded to the scene and found the victim, identified as 34-year-old Milan Jones, down, Omaha police said. Jones was taken to the hospital with CPR in progress and was later declared dead.
