For the Red Bulls, they haven't even appeared in MLS Cup since 2008 and will have a chance to win it for the first time. It took more than 85 minutes for the Galaxy to unlock Seattle’s organized approach, but Dejan Joveljic got on the end of a pass from Riqui Puig and beat Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei to lift the Galaxy to a 1-0 win.

The Sounders' season ended one game away from the MLS Cup after they allowed a goal to the Galaxy in the 85th minute of the Western Conference final.
