A Tufts University doctoral student arrested by immigration enforcement agents Tuesday was sent to a detention center in Louisiana before a judge ordered the government to keep her in Massachusetts, federal prosecutors said in a court filing Thursday morning.
Speaking to reporters in Guyana on Thursday, Rubio said that Rumeysa Ozturk, a Tufts doctoral candidate studying child development, was part of the student protest movement that caused chaos on university campuses last year.
