Lake effect snow is in the forecast for parts of Northeast Ohio through the Thanksgiving holiday. This lake effect snow event could produce intense lake snow bands capable of 1-2 inch snowfall rates per hour.

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING has been issued for Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula and Geauga counties and a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Trumbull County from Thursday night through Friday due to accumulating lake effect snow bands.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow warning for parts of Northeast Ohio. The lake effect snow warning goes into effect for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake counties starting at 1 a.m. Thursday.
