Prediction market Kalshi filed notice to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission on Wednesday that it intends to offer trading on the transfer portal, prompting the NCAA to say it "vehemently opposes college sports prediction markets.

Kalshi appears set to offer bets on which college athletes enter the transfer portal, according to new filings submitted to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

As Kalshi’s trading volume surpasses Polymarket’s, it will now offer prediction market access to Phantom’s 15 million users on Solana.

On Kalshi, anyone who bet on any of the “Architects of AI”—including Sam Altman, Elon Musk, Jensen Huang, Dario Amodei, Mark Zuckerberg, Lisa Su, and Demis Hassabis—still won the bet. Those who bet their products, however, did not.

Prediction market Kalshi entered into a deal with CNN last week that includes running its content on the news channel during broadcasts.

The Baller League deal is the latest in a string of sponsorship agreements struck by Kalshi, which claims to have seen trading volume on its platform increase eightfold since July. The NHL tapped Kalshi and competitor Polymarket as its official prediction markets in October,

The crypto firm has its sights on becoming an “everything exchange,” and prediction-markets platforms like Kalshi are starting to show up everywhere.
