The Colts made waves by signing Rivers, who has not played in the NFL since 2020, to their practice squad earlier in the week. They have officially activated him to the 53-man roster and intend to start him in Week 15, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.
The Colts ruled out Braden Smith, Sauce Gardner and Anthony Gould for Week 15 vs the Seahawks, and DeForest Buckner won’t be activated.
Travis was selected out of Iowa State, where he spent one season as the starting left tackle after transferring from Princeton. The Minnesota native stands 6-foot-8 and weighs 339 pounds.
