Jay Logsdon, North Idaho’s state public defender and co-counsel for the case’s defense, will be replaced for Kohberger’s capital murder trial, a Thursday court order said. Taking Logsdon’s spot is a Northern California attorney who specializes in DNA and previously testified as a paid consultant for the defense.

After a judge denied a motion from Bryan Kohberger's defense team, calling to toss DNA evidence that links him to the murder of four University of Idaho students, FOX 13 is getting new insight into the case.

First responders traveled to the site using snowmobiles and found two people inside the helicopter, authorities said. One was dead, and the other was taken to a hospital.

The crash involved a Bell 505 helicopter and took place at the Ririe Reservoir. The coroner said Bradford Brown, 59, of Utah died in the crash.
