A black moon, or the third of four seasonal new moons, will rise in the early morning hours of Aug. 23, according to Space.com. However, the sunlit side of the moon will be facing away from earth, making it impossible for us to view it.

Tomorrow (Aug. 23), the night sky will play host to an unusual lunar event known as a Black Moon. While you won't see anything unusual (in fact, you won't see the moon at all), this event is still exciting because of its rarity.
