The ban was reportedly imposed in a letter issued by ISKCON’s CPT in the UK on October 6 last year. The organisation maintained that the ban has not been lifted as of now.

American singer Mary Millben has urged world leaders to address the arrest of ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das and the attack on Hindu and other minorities in Bangladesh, the latest episodes which have triggered fresh tension in the country that has witnessed political instability ever since former PM Sheikh Haina-led government was ousted from power on August 5.

Bangladesh authorities have ordered a 30-day freeze on the bank accounts of 17 individuals linked to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), including Chinmoy Krishna Das, a former member arrested this week on sedition charges.
