Apple has announced a new feature allowing users to share the location of an AirTag or Find My network with third parties, including airlines, to help travelers locate lost luggage.

Apple is rolling out a new “Find My” location service that will be integrated into airline customer service at companies like Delta and United.

Apple partnered with over 15 airlines, including Delta and United, as part of a new AirTags feature expected to launch later this year.

Apple is giving travelers another reason to pack an AirTag in their checked bag. The tech giant announced on Monday that it will enable a new feature, dubbed Share Item Location, for AirTags and other accessories that are connected to the Find My network.
