Tom Stoppard died “peacefully at home” in Dorset, England, at age 88, his talent agency announced on Nov. 29

Renowned playwright Tom Stoppard, celebrated for his witty and intellectually stimulating works like "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," has passed away.

“He will be remembered for his works, for their brilliance and humanity, and for his wit, his irreverence, his generosity of spirit and his profound love of the English language,” they said.
