The St. Paul Police Department says officers responded to reports of shots fired shortly after 4:30 p.m. in the area of Fourth Street East and Earl Street.

The BCA on Tuesday identified a Plymouth police officer and suspect in a Nov. 25 use of force incident. The suspect who was shot is still hospitalized in stable condition.

Plymouth PD says an officer discharged their gun while responding to a reported domestic disturbance and encountering an armed man.

The man who was shot has been identified as 75-year-old Dennois Hoie of Bagley, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Clearwater County Deputy Noah Hallman recognized Hoie at a gas station on Central Street West and attempted to arrest him on outstanding felony warrants.
