Temple has hired Sam Houston coach K.C. Keeler to fill its open position, the school announced on Sunday. Keeler, 65, is a two-time national championship-winning coach at the FCS level and the only coach in FCS history to win a national title at two different stops,

K.C. Keeler, who spearheaded Sam Houston State's transition from FCS to FBS, and led the Bearkats' program to a 9-3 finish this season, has been hired as Temple's coach, replacing Stan Drayton, who was fired in November after three seasons with the Owls.

Sam Houston State coach Keeler led his team to a 9-3 record in its second season in the FBS. He won two national titles at the FCS level, including one at Delaware in 2003.
