Any hope that the Indianapolis Colts (6-7) had of taking advantage of a generous final stretch of their schedule to sneak into the playoffs was nearly dashed at Gillette Stadium on Sunday as they eked past the New England Patriots (3-10) late by a score of 25-24.

The Patriots have struggled to get their rushing attack going in recent weeks, but they finally got things going against the Colts on Sunday. They rushed for a combined 200 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Antonio Gibson accounted for 62 yards and the lone touchdown with a much-needed 11-yard power run into the end zone in the fourth quarter.
