The Minnesota Vikings could add a familiar face to their wide receiver room before their Week 1 showdown with the Chicago Bears on "Monday Night Football." On paper, the Vikings have more than enough talent at wide receiver.

The Vikings have reached out to the Carolina Panthers and inquired about trading for wide receiver Adam Thielen, per ESPN. Thielen is a Vikings legend that spent nine years in Minnesota, and he currently ranks third in franchise history in receptions (534), fifth in receiving yards (6,682) and third in receiving touchdowns (55).

There may be a Minnesota homecoming in store for the 2025 season. The Vikings and Panthers are in talks for a trade that would put Adam Thielen back in the purple and gold, according to a The Minnesota Star Tribune report Friday morning.
