JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A Colts team that has already lost starting quarterback Daniel Jones to an Achilles injury is now playing without its right tackle. Veteran tackle Braden Smith has been ruled out with a concussion late in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against Jacksonville.
The Colts made waves by signing Rivers, who has not played in the NFL since 2020, to their practice squad earlier in the week. They have officially activated him to the 53-man roster and intend to start him in Week 15, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported.
Two key Indianapolis Colts defenders and one starting lineman will miss Sunday's action vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
