INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Indianapolis Colts coach Shane Steichen prefers being the aggressive play-caller. He likes taking chances on third down, would rather go for it on fourth down than punt and enjoys finding creative ways to stretch the field. Right now, though, Steichen can't simply rely on his instincts.

In his first NFL game in nearly five years, Indianapolis Colts' quarterback threw a touchdown pass in his first game back. With the Colts facing a 3rd-and-4 from the Seattle Seahawks ' eight-yard line, Rivers connected with Josh Downs for the touchdown. This capped off a 10-play, 58-yard scoring drive for the Colts' offense.

Since last playing, Philip Rivers has had another child — he has 10 now — and one of his daughters has given birth.

Rivers completed 18 of his 27 passes for 120 yards and led a drive that put the Colts ahead with less than a minute left.
