Indiana’s first-half summit would come later in the first quarter when the Hoosiers led 19-8, but Maine didn’t panic. The Black Bears (3-5) had a well-drilled, inside-out offense that began to break the Hoosiers down. The Black Bears made six shots in a row bridging the first to second quarter to slice Indiana’s lead to five.

Indiana starting point guard Chloe Moore-McNeil knew her team needed a strong effort with Parrish out. She scored 15 of her season-high 22 points in the first half while going 6 of 6 from the field with three made 3-pointers.

Meister scored 18 points and corralled nine rebounds in the Hoosiers 78-53 win over the University of Maine inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington. She was second in scoring for Indiana behind graduate student guard Chloe Moore-McNeil, who recorded 22 points and was 4 for 5 from beyond the arc.
