Indian GrandMaster D. Gukesh forced a draw with black pieces against China’s Ding Liren in game four of the World Chess Championship in Singapore on Friday.

G Dukesh and Ding Liren played out a draw after 42 moves in Game 4. Resuming after the rest day, the two players played a tense match which fizzled out to a draw.

After a day of rest and reflection, the battle for the world chess championship resumed on Friday and after 42-moves each, game 4 ended in a tame draw with the series now level at 2-2. The defending champion Ding Liren,

The World Chess Championship match between D. Gukesh and Ding Liren will consist of 14 games. The first player to score 7.5 points will be crowned the World Champion. If the match ends in a tie after all 14 games, a tiebreak will be held the following day to determine the winner.

Dign Liren is playing with white pieces in game 4 after Gukesh secured a confidence-boosting victory in Game 3 right before the first rest day.
