The free event will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, along Monroe Center St. NW in downtown Grand Rapids.
The parade is looking for more volunteers to keep the route safe since this year, it will take place at night.
The public is invited to the official tree-lighting ceremony, which will coincide with the annual Gentex Grand Rapids Santa Claus Parade at 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
