EAST RUTHERFORD - The New York Giants, like every other NFL team, are in the process of cutting their roster from 90 down to 53 by Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline.

There are a handful of players who have made a case for a roster spot, but they won’t all make the cut. After forming the 53-man roster, Chicago will start putting together their practice squad, which should feature some of those names who just missed the cut.

The Steelers got one bit of encouraging news during the game. First-round pick Derrick Harmon, who left in the second quarter on a cart after sustaining a knee injury, walked out of the locker room and sat on the bench between Cameron Heyward and T.J. Watt in the fourth quarter. He appeared to be in good spirits.

After the Patriots opened as three-point favorites, the Giants ballooned to 6.5-point favorites. The Giants appear to be taking this game at least somewhat seriously, as Russell Wilson is expected to start for Big Blue, according to their unofficial depth chart.
