Since his time with the Bucks ended, Gallinari has resumed his professional basketball career overseas in Puerto Rico. In his first season in the Puerto Rico league, Baloncesto Superior Nacional, Gallinari won a title with his team, Vanqueros de Bayomon.

The Bucks have been making roster changes to try to keep Antetokounmpo happy. Damian Lillard was waived, and his contract was stretched to help create cap space for the team. The Bucks signed two-time NBA blocks leader Myles Turner to a four-year contract this offseason.

In his suggested trade idea, Hughes would have Antetokounmpo heading to the Heat in exchange for Kel'el Ware, Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2029 first-round pick swap, a 2030 first-round pick, a 2031 first-round pick swap, and a 2032 first-round pick.
