The U.S. Forest Service is evicting dozens of homeless people who have been living in a national forest in central Oregon for years so that it can start a wildfire prevention project.

Hours later, a federal judge Thursday issued his written ruling on why he didn't delay the Forest Service's closure.

The closure at Deschutes National Forest was for a fire-prevention project, but advocates worry the displaced will have nowhere to go.
