DEKALB COUNTY, GA — A lengthy SWAT standoff in DeKalb County ended tragically early Thursday morning after a man barricaded himself inside a home in Lithonia and was shot and killed by officers.

The medical examiner and a crime scene van are at the scene on Brannon Hill Road.

DeKalb County police confirmed the deaths but said no additional details were immediately available.
