The Cleveland Guardians dropped all three games against the Texas Rangers in one of the most important series of the season.

Starter Merrill Kelly was dominant, Rowdy Tellez hit a two-run home run and the Texas Rangers defeated the hapless Cleveland Guardians on Aug. 24.

The Texas Rangers scored five runs while the Cleveland Guardians scored zero runs. These Rangers are as confounding as ever. Fresh off a demoralizing road trip that seemed to finally tamp down the dirt upon their grave, Texas procured a sweep of the team that came to Arlington directly ahead of them in the Wild Card standings.
