The Denver Broncos waived running back Audric Estime on Monday, a source told Mike Klis of 9 News. Estime did not do enough in training camp or the preseason this summer to earn a role on the team's 53-man active roster heading into the regular season.

The Broncos have to whittle their current 90-man roster down to the final 53 players by Tuesday, August 26 at 2 pm MDT. Estime's play and his remarks after the Saints game make it clear that he hopes to be sticking around in Denver.

Estime (5-11, 227 pounds) was picked by the Broncos in the fifth round of last year's NFL draft out of Notre Dame. The 21-year-old running back rushed 76 times for 310 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2024. If he doesn't end up making Denver's active roster this summer, Estime should have no trouble finding another team.
