After half a decade of mediocrity, New England is back to looking like a powerhouse thanks to the coach-quarterback duo of Mike Vrabel and Drake Maye.

The Buffalo Bills scored 26 straight points and ran over the Pittsburgh Steelers, 26-7. It dropped Pittsburgh, which had climbed into the AFC North lead after the Baltimore Ravens lost on Thanksgiving, out of the top spot in the division and into the No. 9 seed.

QB Drake Maye turned in a masterful performance in a 33-15 beatdown of the visiting Giants on Monday night as the Patriots improved to an NFL-best 11-2 heading into their bye week.

The win over the Steelers was a microcosm of the season. The Bills trailed at halftime after producing two turnovers, five penalties and only three points. But they dominated the second half by the score of 23-0, bloodying Aaron Rodgers' nose on defense and flashing a wrecking-ball running game that eventually took Mike Tomlin and T.J. Watt's soul.

The Patriots are winners of 10 straight for the first time in a decade, as New England dominated the struggling Giants from wire to wire in a 33-15 win.

The Patriots will get a much-needed bye week after earning their 10th straight win and improving to 11-2 on the season. They will have a monster rematch awaiting them on the other side of the break with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills coming to town in Week 15.

The four-time Pro Bowler Dion Dawkins was evaluated for a concussion in the final minute of the first quarter was briefly replaced by Ryan Van Demark before he was cleared to return. But Dawkins displayed more symptoms the next day and was ruled out for Week 13 against the Steelers.

We know now that 18-1 happened, and that this year’s Patriots are chipping well above their weight class. While that may actually make next season more difficult thanks to a better finish, it’s still possible the Bills could win the AFC East with enough magic. Can the Giants do it again?
