Jalen Johnson had 32 points and 10 rebounds and CJ McCollum added 23 points as the Atlanta Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 117-107 on Thursday night in the teams’ first game after the All-Star break.

PHILADELPHIA — The Hawks needed to come out of the All-Star break on the right foot. On the first night of a back-to-back, the Hawks downed the 76ers 117-107. The Hawks took advantage on the offensive glass, with the 76ers missing both Joel Embiid (right shin soreness) and Paul George (suspension).

Philadelphia 76ers star center Joel Embiid has yet to experience success in the playoffs, and he feels that his health has been the biggest factor in his postseason woes.

Cam Payne has only been with the 76ers for a short while, but he is already impressed with what he has seen from VJ Edgecombe.

The Philadelphia 76ers signed two-way forward Jabari Walker to a standard NBA contract on Thursday. Walker, 23, was signed to a two-way deal last July after spending the last three seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers.
