Rep. Elise Stefanik (R., N.Y.), a close ally of President Trump who rose to prominence as a critic of Ivy League leaders, said she would drop out of the race for New York governor and wouldn’t run for another term in the House next year.

Elise Stefanik announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that she is dropping out of the race for Governor of New York State.
