PERHAPS THE BIGGEST ISSUE IN MISSOURI TUESDAY, AT LEAST IN OUR AREA, IS ONE FOR ALL OF JACKSON COUNTY TO DECIDE. VOTERS WILL CHOOSE IF THE JACKSON COUNTY ASSESSOR SHOULD BE ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE INSTEAD OF APPOINTED BY THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Voters on both sides of the state line are headed to the polls today. Polls opened at 6 a.m. in Missouri. One of the biggest issues on the ballot on the Missouri side is in Independence.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - KY3 is the Place to Be for election coverage in the Ozarks. The election will take place on Tuesday, November 4. Voters in only Missouri will decide on a few county, municipal, and school-related races and issues.

It's Election Day in Missouri, and St. Louis-area voters will see a wide variety of local propositions on the ballot. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There are four mid-Missouri counties with specials elections on Tuesday. Voters in Boone County can vote on Hallsville School District Bond and if Hallsville goes to a 4-day school week. The Hallsville School District bond is to re-approve a $6.5 million bond issue that voters passed in April.

Voters are headed to the polls in Kansas and Missouri Tuesday morning for a slew of local elections. In Missouri, Jackson County voters will decide if the Jackson County Assessor's position should be an elected position.

Today is election day in Missouri! Multiple races are happening across the area. St. Louis County election board directors are urging you to vote in local elections.

On Nov. 4, voters around Kansas City will decide a number of critical local issues in their communities, including multiple mayoral races, whether to "abandon" Prairie Village's form of government, if Independence can keep its four-day school week,

With o presidential or midterm race, a lot less people will be going to the polls, even if the issues have the most local impact.

Unless courts intervene, it's looking more likely that Missouri voters will ultimately get to decide the fate of the GOP's congressional map — meaning the gerrymandered districts might not take effect for the 2026 election cycle.
