The Ohio father is speaking out, after his 4-year-old daughter, Locklynn, got sick with the flu. Her symptoms took a turn for the worse when she began having trouble breathing, and collapsed. Her dad rushed her to the hospital.

The Ohio Department of Health has not reported any new measles cases this year as of March 1.

The Atlanta-based CDC is charged with protecting Americans from outbreaks and other public health threats. Before the job cuts, the agency had about 13,000 employees.

The CDC posted a bird flu update to the health agency’s website on Wednesday, the first since President Donald Trump took office. According to the CDC, 13% of children who died from the flu this season had brain damage.
