CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police on Thursday released an image of a sport-utility vehicle they say struck and killed a man on the city's West Side the night before.

A man, 44, was crossing the street about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday when a driver hit him and continued driving south on South Central Park Avenue.

The man was walking in the 1300 block of South Central Park Avenue when he was struck by a sport-utility vehicle headed south.

A man was killed in a hit-and-run in the North Lawndale neighborhood Wednesday evening. At 7:46 p.m., the 44-year-old man was walking through the intersection of 13th Street and Central Park Avenue when he was struck by a sport-utility vehicle headed south on the latter street.
