The big January winter storm hasn't been easy in Knoxville - but photos out of Nashville and Memphis show how bad it's been there.

The Tennessee Health Department confirmed on Monday night that five people have died due to the weather this week.

Following the winter storm, temperatures in East Tennessee will remain freezing. A strong cold front will usher in arctic-like air into the region with wind chills dropping to 3 to 8 degrees above zero across much of the region, according to the National Weather Service's Jan. 24 report.

People across the Tennessee Valley experienced ice and snow as the winter weather has been passing through. Some of our viewers have captured photos and videos of ice frozen on trees and roads, and a few even got a dusting of snow.

A powerful winter storm continued to disrupt daily life across Tennessee on Jan. 26, bringing snow, ice and dangerous travel conditions to much of the state.
