Vanderbilt coach Mark Byington is committed to renewing the basketball series against Memphis. Byington stated that teams within Tennessee should compete against each other annually. The Commodores will travel to Memphis for the first game of the renewed series.
"To me, the Louisville-Memphis rivalry back in the day was as good as Duke-North Carolina," Hardaway said during a Dec. 9 interview on Sports 56 with Greg Gaston and Eli Savoie. "Every basket was tough to get. The fans were crazy. It was a fun time watching that rivalry. Hopefully, we’ll get it back to that level."
While I'm betting on Memphis to cover this big spread, I still think Louisville is the far better team and will get the win at home. If the Tigers want to cover this spread, they need to make sure Louisville doesn't go ballistic from deep. Brown has knocked down fewer than 2.5 threes in four of his last five games.
