Shikhar Dhawan will make a comeback to the cricket field during the ongoing Nepal Premier League (NPL). Dhawan will play for the Karnali Yaks in the inaugural edition of the tournament which started on Saturday (November 30).

Shikhar Dhawan's return to cricket in the Nepal Premier League highlights his post-retirement career, but due to BCCI rules, he remains ineligible for the IPL and domestic cricket in India.

Shikhar Dhawan is the only Indian name in the inaugural edition of the Nepal Premier League. Dhawan is playing for Karnali Yaks in NPL 2024.

Shikhar Dhawan had a poor outing on the Nepal Premier League debut as he was dismissed for just 14 runs in the first game for Karnali Yaks against Janakpur Bolts.

Shikhar Dhawan made his debut for the Karnali Yaks and scored 14 runs off 14 balls with three fours against Janakpur Bolts in Kirtipur on Monday.
