The Celtics will be coming off six full days of rest heading into the second round series after beating the Orlando Magic 4-1 in their first round series that wrapped up on Tuesday. The Knicks will have three days off before heading to Boston after beating the Pistons 4-2 in their series with a clincher on Thursday night in Detroit.

During the league's 2024-25 regular season schedule slate of games, the Knicks lost to the Celtics in all four meetings.

Towns put up fantastic numbers in his first season with the Knicks, averaging 24.4 points and 12.8 rebounds to go with 52.6% shooting from the field and 42% shooting from three. In the Knicks' first-round series against the Pistons, Towns averaged 19.7 points and 10 rebounds a game while shooting 48.9% from the field and 48% from three.

"It's a great stage for basketball, just all the history between Boston and New York," Celtics forward Jaylen Brown said after the team's practice on Saturday.
