Washington State Baseball is back in the NCAA postseason for the first time since 2010 after their electric win in the Mountain West Tournament on Sunday evening. The regional will consist of the host Oregon Ducks,

San Diego State’s bid to win one more Mountain West championship on its way out the door came up short Sunday. SDSU lost to Washington State 14-4 in the Mountain West Baseball Championship, falling short after forcing a winner-take-all game by beating the Cougars 9-2 earlier in the day at Sloan Park in Mesa,

The Cougs were picked to finish eighth in the preseason Mountain West Conference poll.

The Cougs are going to the mountain west title game. Washington State University knocked out the No. 1 seed San Diego State in an offensive clinic, putting up 14 runs with eight players recording knocks.

Luke Meyers delivered seven strong innings in relief and WSU rallied from a five-run deficit to beat San Diego State in the semifinal round of the MWC tournament.

All first round games and quarterfinal games will be played on Saturday, May 23 at various locations around the state. The 3A and 4A tournament semifinals will be held May 29 and 30 at Everett Memorial Stadium, 2A and 1A at Joe Martin Stadium in Bellingham, 1B and 2B at Wood Field at Carlon Park in Selah.
