The Big 12 has announced the schedule for the 2026 football season. The Texas Tech Red Raiders will open the season on Sept. 5 at home against Abilene Christian, and they’ll begin conference play on Sept.

For the second time in two weeks, UH and Texas Tech face off in a matchup of top-15 teams.

The Red Raiders had 55 points in the first half, their most against Houston since the Cougars joined the Big 12.

Houston will face the Texas Tech Red Raiders on Saturday: however, the game time has been adjusted due to incoming weather.
